This workbook is not about living your life over, it is about recognizing today. It is about challenging you to live a more balanced life. After being diagnosed with IC, a very painful disease of the bladder, ten years ago, the level of pain and discomfort changed the author's life and the lives of her family members.
In an effort to live her best life now, Mary Clewley created some coping techniques, integrating physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and social components, which are connected to overall wellness. If you have been diagnosed with a chronic illness or suffer from physical pain, chances are one or more of these components are out of balance in your life. Being diagnosed is not the end of your life. It is possible to thrive and lead an empowered life!
Mary Clewley initially created this workbook as an accountability tool for herself and a tool to assist her in communicating more effectively with her physicians It is her hope that this workbook will assist the reader in more effective communication with his/her physician, as well as help you to recognize areas in your life that are in need of improvement, despite chronic illness.
